Icon or episode, though the answer is no to both...I've not seen any Boston Legal

For now.

Date: 2009-04-07 11:28 am (UTC)ooc: Well, a lot of them were for Halloween (the show ran for five years--that's a lot of Halloween eps), and some of the others had to do with Alan's flair for the dramatic/need for attention/desire to cause trouble.
But yes, one does get the sense that the writers just like dressing Spader (and Shatner) in absurd attire.

ooc: lol, well writers got to have some fun.

Date: 2009-04-12 12:47 am (UTC)If he were presented with evidence of the program's existence (and/or extraterrestrial life?)...hahahahaha, he'd probably get all outraged at the government for hiding it from the public and start asking annoying logistical questions (how is this funded? who directs it? etc.). And if he didn't like the answers he'd probably want to take some sort of legal action.
In other words, he would CAUSE A WHOLE LOT OF TROUBLE.
Re: ooc
Date: 2009-04-12 12:55 am (UTC)And if the SGC found out, oh boy...Alan would probably be in the brig till they figured out what to do with him....which might involve dumping him on a planet far far away if they got really desperate.
ooc
Date: 2009-04-12 02:41 am (UTC)Second of all, if Daniel waited until he and Alan were friends (or at least on their way to becoming friends) and then swore him to secrecy before telling him, Alan would probably not attempt to, you know, tell the whole world about the Stargate program. (Although he would still doubt Daniel's mental health.)
And finally...
which might involve dumping him on a planet far far away if they got really desperate.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh, he would be so profoundly miserable.
Re: ooc
Date: 2009-04-12 02:51 am (UTC)The good thing about sci-fi is that if you want a story to go a certain way, there's a million and one ways to do it. (i.e. bringing a character back from the dead)
So another way to do it would be for Alan to accidentally just end up in Stargate Command or in a situation with aliens on earth or something...Ohhh there's also the spaceship Daedalus that is sometimes in orbit around the planet that the SGC owns now. And they do have the ability to beam one person from one place to another, just like on Star Trek.
Ideas:
1. Become friends, sworn to secrecy
2. Come across sgc team dealing with an alien threat, which could be any number of things suspicious
3. Accidentally ends up in SGC during some sort of emergency so they can't send him back right away
Thoughts? Other ideas? Stargate Command is in Colorado btw, officially the Norad project (which I think really exists) and it's hidden like 10 floors underground under that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stargate_Command#Stargate_Command
Hehe, poor Alan.

Daniel is at the courthouse to pay a traffic ticket or something minor, the SGC sends a car to pick him up quick for some emergency, and the soldiers accidentally pick up Alan instead. Alan tries to go along with it till he gets caught, which would probably be whenever Daniel shows up.
Also vice versa, Daniel could get caught up in the lawyer part of it too even if he doesn't want to. He's good at getting into trouble even though he's protesting against it.
The best way to run that story would be if one part was running on one journal and the other was running on the other. I'd be everyone at the SGC and you'd have to be posting as everyone out of Boston Legal.
So that's option #4 to the list. :)
