Daniel is at the courthouse to pay a traffic ticket or something minor, the SGC sends a car to pick him up quick for some emergency, and the soldiers accidentally pick up Alan instead. Alan tries to go along with it till he gets caught, which would probably be whenever Daniel shows up.
Also vice versa, Daniel could get caught up in the lawyer part of it too even if he doesn't want to. He's good at getting into trouble even though he's protesting against it.
The best way to run that story would be if one part was running on one journal and the other was running on the other. I'd be everyone at the SGC and you'd have to be posting as everyone out of Boston Legal.
So that's option #4 to the list. :)

Alternate universes and so forth?). And I suppose Daniel could pass himself off as Alan's cousin or younger brother (though why he'd want to, I'm not sure).
Of course, we'd still have to figure out a reason for Alan to be in Colorado and Daniel to be in Boston.
