He'd been crossreferencing the pictures taken from the expedition of the Asgard outpost with what he knew of their language thus far. He'd also gotten done talking with Dr. Frasier about Mitchell's scans and tests to see why he was talking Asgardian involuntarily.
As Daniel turned the corner, his eyes on a folder, he looked up to see Jack and Mitchell groaning at a play on the television in front of them.

*confused look* "Um...what's going on here?"

It was a comfort to have someone who...seemed to at least make an effort at understanding the gibberish that forced itself out instead of English. It made sense to him when he said it--he knew it wasn't English, but he knew what it meant, and it seemed so easy to figure out what most of it was. That must have been a part of whatever was wrong with him.

Fortunately, watching a Game didn't need much communication to be enjoyed.

At Doctor Jackson's interruption, he looked up and pointed at the TV. ".tsud dna skcor eht tuohtiw...tuB .tnemniatretnE .rotcoD ,emag llabtoof a dellac s'tI"

Daniel nodded slowly, "Suuure it is..." having no idea what he just said. "Anyhoo, I've been working with Dr. Frasier and Carter to try and figure out what happened." He sat down in a nearby chair, spreading the papers from the folder on the coffee table as he spoke, not realizing he was getting in the way of the game. "As near as they can tell from the tests and scans they did, its as if your brain has undergone a sort of rewiring in the area of language and cognition," he pointed at a certain area of the brain on a visual aid. "So when you tell your brain to speak English, it thinks it is telling your mouth to do the same...when really it comes out as Asgardian, which is pretty amazing when you think about it. You'd have to have an entire language uploaded into your brain that you've never spoken before." Of course, Daniel finds this absolutely fascinating.

Jack scrambled grabbing the two bottles of coke he and Mitchell had been drinking after all they were on base. "Watch it Jackson..." He handed Cameron his drink.

"So question is, how do you rewire it? I'm sure he's tired of writing by now."

He gave a brief nod to the Colonel when he handed the bottle, and sat back. He'd glazed over some when Jackson was going on--the hows and the whys didn't really matter in the end, so much as whether they could fix it. Cameron seriously doubted his knowing them would factor into whether they could.

"Well, I'm not exactly sure really..." Daniel scratched the back of his head absentmindedly. "I mean, it's probably more complicated than this but presumeably if the technology can do it with one language...it can do it again with another. So we just do it again, but have it imprint English instead of Asgard." He hoped this was making sense to more than just himself...though he didn't have much hope in that regard since that was usually the case with his explanations.

"You guys figure out how to do that exactly yet?"

Jack was looking at the sketches trying to figure them out even though Daniel had just told them what the plan was.

"Well it's a very complicated piece of technology...I mean if we start fiddling around with it, who knows what kind of damage we could cause." Daniel looked from Mitchell to Jack and back again.

"We're thinking the quickest way and probably the safest would be to contact the Asgard to see if they are able to fix it."
