"Not good," Daniel blurted out as the giant plant creature was reaching for him. He threw himself to the side, still bound, and rolled away just in time as the large "mouth" hit the spot where he had been just a second ago. "Jack? Is that you?!" He kept backing up, pushing with his feet but it was slow going. There were little tendrils and vines that were creeping up on him and making it harder to move around as he went. A couple of bigger vines lashed out at him, grabbing him around the waist and feet and hauling him up in the air while winding around his body. Daniel let out a slightly unmanly high pitched yell as he dangled in midair. But that was soon cut off as the vines were holding him tighter and tighter, making breathing just difficult enough to be disconcerting. Even worse, he was getting moved in closer to that big mouth of a head...
The plant was surprisingly agile, dodging it's head around a couple of zat shots as if it could sense where they were. It hissed slightly as a few of it's larger "limbs" were hit and reached out a long vine to knock over some of the team that was standing at the edge of the cliff.
